Story:
Mystical park with over two hundred Buddhist and Hindu statues near the Mekong River. This is a 360 degree video. Use your finger to swipe or mouse cursor to grab the screen and look around. No host. No voice-over. No music. Just pure immersion. Buddha Park, Xieng Khuan (Spirit City), is a short bus ride from Vientiane. The park looks ancient, but it was actually built in 1958. It is filled with sculptures large and small. The centerpiece is a gigantic reclining Buddha. There are also statues of Vishnu and Shiva, as well as as animals and demons. There is a giant pumpkin sculpture. Inside it are three levels: Heaven, Earth and Hell. You enter from a demon head on the top of the pumpkin. The park has installed tiled pathways. The sculptures used to be surrounded by grass and dirt. Buddha Park was originally designed by Luang Pu Bunleua Sulilat. He later went to build Sala Keoku sculpture park in Thailand.
